When I first saw this I couldn't get the feeling of the old 'American Wild West' films out of my head but I couldn't work out why. Sure there's a vast expansive feel but the vegetation is far too lush and green and then there's the buildings that look far too modern. Then it struck me, in the old films one stereotype was of the Indians sending smoke signals to each other from a camp fire. That cloud formation looks like it's coming from one place on the ground behind the mountain (must be one big Indian with a really big camp fire).
Anyway, hope that doesn't distract from the fact that this is a lovely image
